SERIES 4 VOTING.
"Strictly Come Dancing" Series 4:
Keep up to date with all the news and information on series 4 of the BBC's hit show Strictly Come Dancing.
Series 4 aired on BBC1 prime time, Saturday 7th October 2006. The show will be ran in the same format as previous series,
except this time there were 14 couples and 12 shows. Bruce Forsythe & Tess Daly continue present the BBC 1 Saturday night programme.
BBC2 continues the "Behind the scenes" programme "Strictly Come Dancing - It takes two" presented once again by Claudia Winkleman.
This show will aired week nights 6.30pm - 7.00pm.
This series the format changes for the first few weeks of voting. Week one sees the professional ladies and celebrity men battling it out
to stay in the competition, whilst the pro men/ celeb ladies dance an un marked Mambo. Week 2 sees the professional men and celebrity women
battling it out to stay in the competition, whilst the pro ladies/ celeb men dance an un marked West coast swing. Week 3 sees them all come
together and the voting returns to the original format - of lowest scorer (after Judge & public voting) will leave the show.

- Judge 1 - Bruno Tonioli (Choreographer)
Bruno is a top choreographer and has worked on countless films, plays, music videos, commercials, concerts, trade shows and TV shows.
- Judge 2 - Arlene Phillips (Choreographer)
Arlene is best known for her work on countless musicals, both in the UK and Worldwide.
- Judge 3 - Len Goodman (Pro Dancer/Judge)
Len was a professional dancer and is now a professional judge. Len runs his own dance school in Kent.
- Judge 4 - Craig Revel Horwood (Choreographer)
Craig is a top theatre choreographer and received an Olivier Award for his work on the West End musical Spend, Spend, Spend.

23rd December:
- Mark Ramprakash & Karen Hardy are winners of SCD series 4.
- The second placed couple Matt Dawson & Lilia Kopylova put up an exceptional fight to the end, but ended up as runners up after the public vote.
16th December:
- The twelfth couple to go leaving in the semi final are Darren Bennett & Emma Bunton, placing 2nd in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
- Next week the two remaining couples will dance their highest marked ballroom & Latin dance, plus a 'judges' choice dance, a Viennese Waltz & a Showdance.
9th December:
- The eleventh couple to go are Vincent Simone & Louisa Lytton, placing 4th (last) in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
2nd December:
- The tenth couple to go are Matthew Cutler & Carol Smilie, placing 3rd in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
25th November:
- The ninth couple to go are Brendan Cole & Claire King, placing 6th (last) in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
18th November:
- The eighth couple to go are Erin Boag & Peter Schmeichel, placing 7th (last) in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
11th November:
- The seventh couple to go are Camilla Dallerup & Ray Fearon, placing 7th in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
- Next Week The dancers will dance a dance they have not yet performed.
4th November:
- The sixth couple to go are Anton Du Beke & Jan Ravens, placing 7th equal in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
- Next Week The dancers will dance American Smooth or Samba.
28th October:
- The fifth couple to go are James Jordan & Georgina Bouzova, placing 6th equal in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
- Next Week The dancers will dance Salsa or Viennese Waltz.
21st October:
- The fourth couple to go are Aleksandra Grabowska & DJ Spoony, placing 7th equal in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
- Next Week The pro men/celeb ladies will dance Foxtrot, and the pro ladies/celeb men dance Paso Doble.
- This week the first 10 of the series was awarded by Bruno to Louisa & Vincent.
20th October:
- It's Injuries galore at practice this week. Camilla has collapsed in agony with a hip problem. Vincent has pulled a muscle in his leg.
Claire King has strained a back muscle and Jimmy Tarbuck has withdrawn from the show due to health issues.
17th October:
- Strictly Come Dancing is nominated in the Entertainment section of the 2006 National Television awards.
14th October:
- The second couple to go are Ian Waite & Mica Paris, placing second from last in the judges votes,
but after adding the public votes they had to leave the competition.
- Next week all the dancers will compete for judges marks. The pro men/celeb ladies will dance Jive, and the pro ladies/celeb men dance Tango.
7th October:
- The first couple to go are Nicole Cutler & Nicholas Owen, placing last in the judges votes and
remaining the lowest after the public vote.
- Next Week the pro men and celeb ladies dance a Rumba or Quickstep.
13th September:
- SCD 4 Page Updated with confirmed celebrities and their partners.
- New format W1 - W3. Week 1 only the pro ladies/Celeb men will be dancing for marks to stay in the show -
the other pairings will demonstrate a mambo which will be un-marked. Week 2 roles reverse
and the pro men/celeb ladies will be dancing for marks to stay in the show -
the other pairings will dance a West Coast Swing which will be un-marked. Week 3
sees the original format return when all couples will be dancing to stay in the show.
