"Strictly Come Dancing" Series 6:
Keep up to date with all the news and information on series 6 of the BBC's hit show Strictly Come Dancing.
Series 6 aired on BBC1 prime time, Saturday 13th September 2008. The show
followed a similar format to previous series,
but this time with 16 couples. Bruce Forsythe & Tess Daly continue to present the BBC 1 Saturday night programme.
Sunday nights will see the Strictly Results programme, airing on BBC1 for around 45 minutes.
BBC2 continues the "Behind the scenes" programme "Strictly Come Dancing - It takes two" presented once again by Claudia Winkleman.
This show aired week nights 6.30pm - 7.00pm.
The competition takes place on the Saturday night show, then the voting lines will be opened.
On the Sunday night show, the two couples with the lowest scores after the judges & public votes are combined will have to perform a "dance off".
Each will be allowed to perform their dance again and the judges will make the final decision on the couple to leave the competition.
This format has been chosen as several strong competitors have left in the early weeks of past series.
Week 1 saw the professional ladies and celebrity men battling it out to stay in the competition. Week 2
saw the professional men and celebrity ladies
battling it out to stay in the competition. Week 3, once again the pro ladies/celeb men battle and week 4 the pro men/celeb ladies once more. Week
5 onwards saw them all compete together.
The winners of the 6th Strictly Come Dancing Series Are Tom Chambers & Camilla Dallerup
